Edward’s story is one of determination, hard work, and success at Thalia Gardens. When he arrived in November 2024, he faced many challenges that required the support of multiple staff members. Tasks such as bed mobility and dressing were daily hurdles, but Edward’s determination and the care he received have led to a remarkable transformation.
A Strong Start with Support
Upon his arrival, Edward’s care team focused on providing the support he needed to regain his independence. This initial phase involved assistance with basic mobility and daily tasks, but it was clear from the start that Edward was committed to working hard and making progress. His rehabilitation journey began with small but significant steps, all aimed at restoring his ability to perform activities on his own.

Progress Through Dedication
Fast forward to today, and Edward’s progress is nothing short of inspiring. He has made tremendous strides, especially with his mobility. Where he once needed the help of multiple staff members, Edward is now able to independently get in and out of bed. This newfound independence has allowed him to engage in the various activities around the facility, contributing to both his physical and emotional well-being.
A Focus on Walking
Currently, Edward’s focus in physical therapy is on improving his walking abilities. He has already made impressive progress and can now walk 40 feet! This accomplishment reflects his hard work, our therapy team’s support, and his positive attitude.
Looking Ahead
As Edward progresses in physical therapy, his plans are shifting toward a hopeful return to the community. We are excited to watch his journey unfold and are honored to be part of this incredible process. Keep up the great work, Edward – we can’t wait to celebrate your return home!
